How do I keep the Cedar models “new” looking? Can I change the Color with stain?

You have three choices once you receive your cedar outdoor shower.

1. Let it weather and fade to a natural gray.

2. If you like the golden brown of cedar, use an oil / finish to protect and preserve it.
If you want to preserve the bronze natural cedar color, we recommend Australian Timber Oil or the Behr line of Exterior Finishes

3. For a custom color (from green to pink and in between!),
we, again, would recommend any oil/stain that works for exterior cedar…. either Behr or Benjamin Moore.

Cedar is an excellent choice for staining because its natural wood fibers readily absorb the stain, helping it last far longer than paint. The stain penetrates deeply into the cedar, providing waterproofing and protection from rain, snow, and ice. Stains are available in both semi-transparent and solid-color options.
