Does the kit include post stands to place in concrete? What is recommended for above or in ground installation?

Our outdoor shower kits are not generally designed to be placed in a fixed concrete footing.

The outdoor shower kits can sit right on top of a surface that is flat, level, and wont sink or slope over time (yes this is enough, the kits are heavy assembled, and plenty sturdy!).

For those who want to attach above ground we recommend Simpson Strong Tie, post bases.
